Bhool Bhulaiyaa is an exciting thriller- comedy.

The film turn around a tiny village where the people are very superstitious. Badri (Manoj Joshi) is the head of a Brahmin family whose ancestral palace is believed to be haunted.

One day, a young man named Siddharth (Shiney Ahuja) and his wife named Avni (Vidya Balan), the son and daughter-in-law of Badri's elder brother return to their native village from America.Events take on a twist when some unnatural events start taking place inside the palace. All the responsibility comes upon Radha (Amisha Patel), who is the adopted daughter of Badri.

Badri and Batuk Shankar (Paresh Rawal) try to region off the evil eye by approaching numerous black magicians and ghost busters but to no avail. The blame comes to rest squarely on Radha , the adopted daughter of Badri. Suddenly there is an entry in the form of a psychiatrist from America, Dr. Aditya Shrivastav (Akshay Kumar), who is a friend of Siddharth and uses modern analytical techniques to find out the culprit and solve the mystery. The film becomes a roller coaster ride from this point onwards. It is a perfect blend of thrill and humor revealing undiscovered dimensions of human psychology which many of us could never even have imagined.

Deol family coming together is a reason to celebrate in itself. To add to the fun if Gadar-Ek Prem Katha director Anil Sharma is associated with a project and It's a season of remakes. Barely has one moved out of remakes of 'Sholay' and 'Victoria No. 203' comes yet another remake, this time that of a South Indian film.

'Bhool Bhulaiyaa a' is the remake of a Malayalam film which was later made into Rajnikanth starrer blockbuster 'Chandramukhi'. Enter Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan into the enterprise and the film takes a completely different shape and theme.

Bearing a comic touch which is poles apart from a rather dramatic 'Chandramukhi', 'Bhool Bhulaiyya' with lyrics by Sameer is poised to be yet another success for Akshay Kumar this year after 'Namaste London' and 'Heyy Babyy'. One expects the same from the film's music by Pritam too who has earlier given a chartbuster soundtrack of Priyadarshan's 'Garam Masala' followed by a decent 'Bhagam Bhag'. Well, the album is leaps and bounds above 'Bhagam Bhag' and would certainly give 'Garam Masala' some competition when it comes to popularity.

Neeraj Sridhar, who today is quite easily the Sunidhi Chauhan of male item songs, gets to croon the opening title song 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa a'. A song which brings with it a unique mix of mystic, naughtiness and a peppy flavor, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa a' has a mix of English and Hindi lyrics, all of which comes together to make it an irresistible hear from the word GO!
