Has gorgeous girl, Kareena Kapoor, become Indian film industry’s highest paid actress? That is the question doing the rounds in Bollywood these days. As we know that in Bollywood, heroines don’t get the same kind of payment as heroes, but some actresses are known to give their heroes a run for their money. Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukherjee were top two paid actresses in India till last year. As the former got married and the latter is not around her success, Kareena has got the opportunity to rule the roost. She was also the highest tax payer among the heroines last year.

After she delivered the hit ‘Jab We Met’ with her former love interest Shahid Kapur, Kareena has become No. 1 actress in Bollywood. According to the grapevine, she is now drawing a whopping Rs 3.5 crore per film.

This is the highest amount being paid to any Bollywood actress. Kareena’s forthcoming films include ‘Tashan’ with Akshay Kumar and Saif, ‘Kambhakht Ishq’ with Akshay again, ‘Golmaal Returns’ with Ajay Devgan, ‘Agent Vinod’ with Saif, another with John Abraham and Karan Johar’s next.

I have always dabbled and experimented with different kinds of roles, whether it’s in ‘Chameli’, ‘Omkara’ or ‘Jab We Met’. She is contented with whatever she does as an actress, giving more than hundred per cent before the camera.

Personally, her love boat is rocking ever since she hitched up with Saif Ali Khan, but professionally too Kareena is on the rise. Kareena disagrees that the new high in her profession has anything to do with the love of her life.

It’s said that Saif is proving to be her good luck charm, but Kareena doesn’t think so. She says, “By saying this, people discount the hard work put in by me and the entire crew and cast of the films I have done. I would say all the risks and challenges that I have taken as an actress have paid off. Encouraged, I shall venture into newer zones in my work area now.”

She firmly believes that it’s work and her career that drive her more than anything else. “I am highly ambitious. My strength, my confidence and everything else stems from my ability to work hard in my career which is the concentric point in my life. It’s beyond everything,” Kareena expressed.

Has she thought about marriage? “Every woman dreams of marriage and having children and I am no exception. But it’s quite early for me to think about it,” she stated.

But, yes, she does give credit to Saif for being extremely supportive in her career. “He is a wonderful guy. He is not only supportive for my career, but he supports me in everything I do,” she proudly said.

Recently, there was news that Priyanka Chopra signed a multi-billion deal with big banner and it was substantial amount that was never paid to any of Bollywood actress, but today it’s only Kareena who deserves to be called the reigning queen of Bollywood.
